3-day Merzouga desert tour from Marrakech to the sahara

Our Marrakech desert tour 3 days will start with a pick up from your hotel at 8 am and departure to Dades Gorges. We will cross the famous twisting curves of the High Atlas, and we will see the mountainous landscape, green and full of Berber villages. The tour to the Merzouga desert will give us a stop during the trip to enjoy the scenery and take pictures. In the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, the village where movies like Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator… were filmed, we will visit its fortress.

Then, we will continue the journey to Ouarzazate, the gateway to the desert and also the African Hollywood. Here in the city, we will visit the Atlas Studio, which is considered the largest film studio in the world and the famous Kasbah Taourirt, a Berber palace built with mud and adobe. Then, we will continue travelling until we reach the village in the Valley of the Roses, which is a producer of the damascene rose that serves as the basis for the manufacture of natural cosmetic products, Kelaat M’Gouna.

Then, we will continue to the Dades Valley, the valley through which runs the river of the same name, enclosed between spectacular canyons and gorges. The last stop of the 3-day Sahara desert tour from Marrakech will be a visit to the most beautiful views: the viewpoint of the cliff known as the monkey fingers or brain of the Atlas, and then go to the hotel. Then, we follow our journey until we reach our destination in the afternoon, where our camels will be waiting for us to spend the night in the desert. We will feel the tranquillity and the silence of this landscape. Traditional dinner and overnight in a tent in the desert camp.

We will pass through the famous Draa Valley (the longest river in Morocco and Algeria, with 1,100 km of riverbed that rises in the High Atlas and flows into the Atlantic Ocean).
