Day 1: Tangier – Chefchaouen

Day 3: Midelt – Ziz valley – Merzouga
The 3rd day of our 6 days tour from Tangier to Merzouga will continue in the direction of Merzouga, crossing different villages, to Erfoud, crossing the famous Ziz valley, where you can admire the palm groves and observe the daily life of the people who live on its sides. The Ziz River flows about 300 kilometres until it enters the Sahara desert on the border of Algeria. At noon, we will arrive in Erfoud, well known for its fossils and the wonderful desert roses, and where we will have lunch. Day 4: Merzouga desert excursion
We are in front of the impressive Sahara desert, which will offer us a day to visit the oasis of Merzouga, as well as the village of Khamlia, where the Gnawas live. This 4th day of the 6 days tour from Tangier to Merzouga will offer you a cultural and adventurous time in the Sahara desert.
We will visit the oasis of Merzouga, as well as the village of Khamlia, where the Gnawas (descendants of slaves who came from black Africa), and can enjoy their peculiar music (Intangible Heritage of Unesco). Afterwards, we will pass by a sand river and a panoramic view from a mountain to observe the desert in all its glory. We will head to the village of Mefis, where there was a French settlement that worked in the desert in the “Kohl” mines, now abandoned. Our cultural 6 days tour from Tangier to Merzouga will give us the chance to visit a nomadic family in the middle of the dunes and enjoy their company over tea. In the afternoon, we will ride the camels to the desert camp and enjoy the impressive sunset in the dunes, dinner and drum party under the stars, and a night in a typical Berber tent. If the weather is good we can enjoy the wonderful blanket of stars in the desert.
Day 5: Merzouga – Rissani – Fez
In the morning after we enjoy a beautiful sunrise and have a delicious breakfast, our 6 days tour from Tangier to Merzouga will give us a ride by camels back to the hotel. Later on, we head to Fez. We will pass through Rissani to visit and see its traditional local market, which was one of the bases of the ancient caravans that crossed the Sahara to Tombouctou. We will go through various Berber villages until we arrive in Fez. You can visit the city this afternoon/evening on your own or the next morning with an official local guide, and will spend the night in Fez. (bed and breakfast in a hotel)
Day 6: Fez – Tangier
