Itinerary of the 3 days tour from Agadir to Marrakech through the desert

Below is the detailed day-by-day itinerary for your 3-day Morocco tour from Agadir, including key stops, overnight locations, and included experiences.

Day 1: Agadir- Taroudant- Ait Ben Haddou- Ouarzazate

Around 8:00 am, after breakfast in your lodging, we will depart for the 3-day desert tour from Agadir to Marrakech. On the way to Ouarzazate, we will briefly visit the city’s historic walls and souks through Taroudant. Then take in the Atlas mountain scenery. We will arrive at the historic Kasbah of Ait Ben-Haddou in the High Atlas. This fortified walled city,  once a bustling trading town during the 17th century, was constructed directly on the caravan route between Marrakech and the Sahara. 

There are six Kasbahs and a few houses inside the tall mud walls. Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia are two movies in which Ait Benhaddou has appeared. Later, enjoy some free time to explore this magnificent Kasbah. Later on, we proceed with the 3-day tour from Agadir to Merzouga to explore the Atlas Studio in Ouarzazate city, heading to the accommodation for the overnight stay.

Day 2: Ouarzazate- Roses’s Valley- Todra Valley- Sahara desert

Following breakfast, our 3 days tour from Agadir to the desert will take us towards Merzouga from Ouarzazate, sometimes known as the “gateway to the desert”. We’ll make a halt to explore the stunning architecture of the Kasbah Taourirte in the city of Ouarzazate. Then we’ll travel the road of a Thousand Kasbahs through the Rose’s Valley and Dades Valley. We will savour the breathtaking vistas of the Todra Valley, which is bordered by Berber communities and palm groves.

After some time, we reach Todra Gorge, a chilly and unspoiled location with towering orange cliffs. The canyons in Todra Gorge are almost 1,000 feet deep. We will take our time exploring this amazing location, which is also a favourite spot for climbers. Afternoon: As we make our way to the Sahara desert, we pass through several Berber communities, including Tinjdad, Melaab, and Erfoud. You’ll have time for lunch as we go.

After we reach the enchanted Erg Chebbi dunes, you will ride a camel for about 1 h:30 min to the desert camp, across the stunning, rare orange-coloured dunes.  The desert tour from Agadir to Marrakech will give you the chance to see an amazing sunset from the middle of the dunes, which is a wonderful experience that will nourish your spirit. After dinner, some Berber music will be played around a campfire, enjoying a starry night. Overnight will be in the luxury desert camp. 

Day 3: Merzouga- Rissani - Draa valley- High Atlas mountains- Marrakech

On the final day of your 3 days desert trip from Agadir to Merzouga and Marrakech, we advise you to get up early to see the stunning sunrise. After breakfast, we take you back to Merzouga town. Rissani “Sijilmasa”, Alnif, Tazarine, and N’kob are where we will begin our return trip to Marrakech. We will journey through the picturesque Draa Valley, which is dotted with historic Kasbahs, Berber communities, and palm groves.

By way of Agdez and the Anti-Atlas mountains, our adventure continues to Marrakech. We will stop for lunch in Ouarzazate before continuing across the High Atlas Mountains to Marrakech. In the evening, we will arrive and drop you off at your accommodation in Marrakech, and our 3 days desert tour from Agadir to Marrakech ends.
